Basil Koufos has had a love for capturing images since his early teens. He went on to study photography, achieving his B-Tech Degree in Photography at the Technikon Pretoria. After his studies he started his career as a professional photographer and photographic lecturer. Several years later he completed his Master's Degree in Photography at the Tshwane University of Technology. He is also the recipient of several South African Fuji Prophoto Awards. He works as a studio and location photographer with both conventional and digital photographic mediums and is based in Pretoria, South Africa.
